Refund Policy

When we refund, replace or cancel an order

Last updated: 17 August 2026  •  Effective from: 17 August 2026

This Refund Policy explains when GAMEDRP LTD will refund, replace or cancel an order for a digital game key or gift card code, how to ask for a refund, and how long it takes. It forms part of our Terms of Service.

The short version. Before your code is sent, you can cancel any order for a full refund. After it has been sent, the code cannot be returned — but if it is invalid, already used, duplicated, wrong, or never arrives, we will replace it or refund you in full. We do not refund a working code simply because you changed your mind or did not enjoy the game.

1. Why digital codes are different

A game key or gift card code is single-use. Once it is revealed to you, it cannot be taken back or resold, and we cannot verify that it has not been redeemed or shared. For that reason the law treats digital content supplied immediately differently from physical goods.

As a consumer you normally have 14 days to cancel a distance contract. At checkout you expressly ask us to supply the code immediately and acknowledge that you lose that 14-day right once we have sent it. This is permitted by the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 and by the EU Consumer Rights Directive.

Your statutory rights are not affected. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. Where it is not, you are entitled to a repair, a replacement or a refund — and this policy tells you how we deliver that.

2. When you get a full refund

We refund in full, without argument, in each of these situations:

  • The order was cancelled before delivery. You may cancel at any time before the code is sent, for any reason.
  • The code was never delivered. Delivery has failed and we cannot supply a replacement within a reasonable time.
  • The code is invalid or already redeemed. The platform rejects it, or reports that it has been used by someone else.
  • The code is for the wrong product. You received a different title, edition, platform or denomination from the one you ordered.
  • The region was wrong or not disclosed. The code is locked to a region other than the one stated on the product page at the time of your order.
  • The product page was materially inaccurate. A stated feature, language, platform or included content is missing.
  • The publisher revoked the code. The key is disabled by the publisher or platform through no fault of yours.
  • The order was duplicated. You were charged twice for the same item through a technical error.
  • The order was not authorised by you. Confirmed unauthorised use of your payment method, following our fraud review.
  • We cancelled the order. Including where a pricing error, a stock failure or a supply restriction prevents us from fulfilling it.

3. When we cannot refund

We are unable to refund a code that has been delivered and works as described. In particular:

  • Change of mind — you bought the wrong game, found it cheaper elsewhere, or no longer want it.
  • The code has been redeemed and the licence is on your platform account.
  • You do not like the game, or it is not what you expected from reviews or trailers. Refunds for gameplay reasons are handled by the platform, not by us — see section 8.
  • Your hardware does not meet the system requirements published on the product page.
  • You bought the wrong region deliberately, or tried to activate a region-locked code outside its region, including through a VPN.
  • You already own the game on the platform account you tried to redeem it on.
  • A required base game, subscription or additional account that you do not have is needed to use a DLC or add-on.
  • The platform suspended or banned your account for reasons unrelated to the code we supplied.
  • You shared the code, published it, or exposed it to a third party before redeeming it.
  • The claim is made more than 30 days after delivery, unless the fault could not reasonably have been discovered sooner.

4. Gift cards and prepaid codes

  • Prepaid and gift card codes are refundable only if they are invalid, already redeemed, or of a different denomination or region from the one ordered.
  • Once the balance has been added to a platform wallet, it cannot be reversed by us and no refund is possible.
  • Check the currency, the region and the denomination before you buy — a card issued for one region will usually not load onto an account registered in another.

5. How to request a refund

  1. Email billing@gameodrop.com, or use the contact form, from the email address on the order.
  2. Include your order number, the product name, and a short description of the problem.
  3. For activation problems, attach a screenshot of the exact error message shown by the platform, including the code entry screen. This is the single most useful thing you can send — it usually lets us resolve the case on the same day.
  4. Do not attempt to redeem the code again after it has failed, and do not share it with anyone.

Please contact us before opening a dispute with your bank or payment provider. A chargeback raised without contacting us first is treated as a breach of our Terms and may lead to your account being suspended — and it is slower for you than a direct refund.

6. How long it takes

Stage Our target
We acknowledge your request Within 1 business day
We investigate, including with the key supplier or publisher where needed Within 3 business days, or 7 business days if the publisher must confirm
We issue a replacement code where you have accepted one Within 1 business day of the decision
We instruct the refund to your original payment method Within 3 business days of the decision, and in all cases within 14 days as required by law
The money reaches your account Typically 3-10 business days, depending on your bank or payment provider

7. How refunds are paid

  • Refunds are always made to the original payment method. We cannot pay to a different card, account or wallet.
  • Refunds are made in the currency of the original transaction. If your bank converted the payment, the amount you receive may differ slightly because exchange rates have moved. That difference is set by your bank and is outside our control.
  • We do not charge a fee to process a refund and we do not deduct payment processing costs from it.
  • Where only part of a multi-item order is faulty, we refund that item and leave the rest of the order in place.
  • Where you prefer it, we can issue store credit instead of a refund — but only if you ask for it. We will never impose credit in place of a refund you are entitled to.

8. Refunds by the platform, not by us

Once a code has been redeemed, the licence belongs to your platform account and any refund is governed by that platform’s own policy. Several platforms offer a play-time-based refund window — for example a limited number of hours played within a limited number of days of purchase. Those requests must be made to the platform directly:

  • Steam — Steam Support, Games & Software → Purchases
  • PlayStation Store, Xbox, Nintendo eShop — the account or order history area of the relevant store
  • Epic Games, Ubisoft Connect, EA App, GOG, Battle.net — the support section of the relevant client or website

We cannot request, influence or guarantee a refund from a platform, but our support team will happily tell you what to ask for.

9. Cancelled and failed orders

If we cancel an order — for example because of a stock failure, a pricing error, a supply restriction affecting your country, or a failed fraud check — you are refunded in full and we notify you by email. Where payment was only authorised and not captured, the authorisation is released, which your bank may take a few business days to show.

10. If you disagree with our decision

Ask us to review it. Reply to the case email and say why you disagree, and a second member of the team who was not involved in the original decision will look at it again. If you are still unhappy, follow our Complaints Policy, which explains how to escalate and what independent options are open to you.
